A risk I have taken which had a positive result is volunteering to become a delivery guy in my community during the COVID-19 period.
一次我曾经做过的成功的冒险就是在COVID-19新冠疫情期间做为一个志愿者快递员帮助我的社区送快递。
The outbreak of the coronavirus has tremendously affected the entire world, and our small community is no exception. One of the issues caused by this unprecedented time was that lots of packages being stuck at the main gate of our community as non-residents were not allowed to enter including the delivery men. This article is from Laokaoya website. Our committee has then initiated a volunteering activity, which was to get those packages to the doors of the receivers, and I was proudly a member of it granted that there might be a risk of getting infected.
冠状病毒的大爆发极大地影响到了我们的世界，我们的小社区也不例外。在这个非常时期出现的一个问题就是很多快递包裹堵在了小区的门口，因为非小区的住户禁止入内，包括快递员。我们的居委会在这个时候就发起了一项志愿者活动，来帮忙把快递送货到家门口。尽管有被感染的风险，我还是自豪地成为了这项活动其中的一员。
Well, the main reason why I took the risk was that I simply wanted to make the most of my daily life. You know, I just couldn’t stand the tedious daily indoor life. So, helping others to deliver the items would be meaningful.
我冒这个险的主要原因就是我纯粹是想好好利用下我的日常生活。我实在无法忍受每天在家的单调生活。所以，帮助他人送货会更加有意义一些。
The volunteering activity took about two weeks. I managed to safely get every designated packages delivered, and ended up being physically healthy! What’s more exciting was that I kind of became a superhero after being praised by my community on their bulletin board.

You know, I felt that this was one of the most rewarding and unforgettable experiences in my life, and I definitely hope I would never volunteer in my community because of the virus again.
