The place I am going to tell you is a huge park located at the edge of my city. It is actually transformed from a mountain. Over the last decade, the government has gradually constructed roads, winding paths, and viewing platforms, so that it can be accessible to normal citizens and serve as a precious place for them to exercise and get close to nature in the bustling and crowded city.
It has outstanding scenery throughout the year. In spring, you can feel the vibrant nature through the endless emerald green stretching out beyond your horizon. In summer, the canopy of trees shades you from the torching sunlight and the singing of birds placate your restlessness. This article is from Laokaoya website. In autumn, the park would put on a fiery coat when the maples turn red. And in winter, when the mountain is covered with snow, the fairyland descends on earth.
My favorite part of the park is its various wildlife, especially the squirrels. It is very easy to get a glimpse of them running on the grass, climbing the trees, or standing on the branches. Almost every weekend, I would bring a pack of nuts there and when I saw them, I would lure them with it. Sometimes, they focus on the feast so much that I can even squat next to them and gently pat their little heads. Once I succeed, it will become my highlight for the whole weekend.
Besides the wonderful scenery and the lovely wildlife, I love this park because it provides a place to be solitary. You know, as a student living in the dormitory, I am surrounded by my classmates nearly 24 hours a day. I desperately need some private and peaceful time.
