Your university lecturer gave you an assignment. You won’t be able to submit your assignment on time.
你的大学讲师给你布置了一个作业。你无法按时上交你的作业了。
Write to your lecturer asking for an extension. In the letter
写信给你的讲师请求延期，在信件中：
– describe the situation 描述一下情况
– explain why your assignment will be late 解释为什么你的作业会迟交
– say when you will be able to hand in your assignment 说明你什么时候可以上交你的作业
You should write at least 150 words.
请书写不低于一百五十词的信件
You do NOT need to write any addresses.不需要写任何地址
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear ………..,
Dear Mr John,
I am George Brown, a student from the Business Studies department in your university, writing to seek your permission for an extension to submit my assignment that I am supposed to hand over before 24th May 2020.
我是George Brown，来自学校商学系的学生，我的作业本应该在2020年5月24日上交，写信是为了请求您的允许，延期提交我的作业。
Right after you gave us the task on 17th May, I started working on mine and suddenly caught a severe seasonal flu. This article is from Laokaoya website. I took advise from a doctor and he prescribed some medicines and complete bed rest. I avoided attending classes and visiting the library to avoid spreading the flu virus.
在您五月十七日给我们布置作业之后，我就开始做我的作业了，然后突然得了季节性流感。我听从了一位医生的建议，他给我开了一些药，让我完全卧床休息。为了防止流感病毒的传播，我就不再去学校上课，也不去图书馆了。
Fortunately, I am doing better now and hope to get over the flu in a couple of days but I am afraid I will not be able to submit my assignment on time due to my illness. I, therefore, request an extension to hand over my work to you. I am quite positive that I can submit my assignment before 28th May 2020.
幸运的是，我现在感觉好多了，希望可以在几天之后完全康复，但是，由于我的病情，我恐怕无法按时提交我的作业了。因此，我想请您让我延期提交作业给您。我确信，我可以在2020年五月二十八日之前提交我的作业。
I would be indebted if you permit to present my assignment before 28th May instead of 24th.
