对应原文：My parents had been saying that as I already had a job, I ought to support myself through college. But in the end they took pity on me, so now I’ve just about got enough

答案解析：录音中提到，一开始他父母觉得他已经工作，不想给他钱，但后来可怜他，然后钱就够了。可见父母最终还是给了钱的。由此确定B为答案。
