The person I’d like to talk about is my university friend Emily, who’s probably the most organized person I know. We met during our first year at university, and I quickly noticed that she had a knack for keeping everything under control, even when the rest of us were struggling to meet deadlines.
One thing she always does is make a to-do list at the beginning of each day. She uses a calendar app to keep track of assignments, appointments, and other commitments. She also breaks big tasks down into smaller, more manageable steps, so she rarely leaves anything until the last minute.
I remember working on a group presentation with her in our second year. While the rest of us were still discussing what to do, she’d already divided the work into different sections and suggested a realistic timeline. This article is from Laokaoya website. She even created a shared document so everyone could see how things were progressing. Thanks to her, we finished the presentation several days ahead of schedule.
What impressed me most was that she never seemed particularly stressed. She once told me that planning ahead actually gave her more freedom because she didn’t have to worry about unfinished work all the time. It also meant she could make time for her hobbies and friends without feeling guilty.
Well, I think being organized is important to her because she values both efficiency and peace of mind. I really admire that about her. To be honest, I used to be quite disorganized myself, but seeing how she manages her time has encouraged me to develop better habits.
