剑桥雅思12Test6Section4听力答案解析 Conflict at work

剑桥雅思12听力第六套题目第四部分由10道提纲型填空题组成,由于定位词不太明显,部分答案单词稍显偏僻,所以做起来还是有一定难度的。如果大家对完答案,发现正确率不高的话也不用伤心。考试时大部分情况都会比这道题简单一些。

第31题答案:bullying

对应原文:I’m taking it to refer to a whole range of behaviours that the victim finds unacceptable, from minor, harmless arguments to – at the opposite extreme – physical violence. Much of this is covered by the term bullying

答案解析:这道题没有明显的定位词,只能根据general category和covered by the term的相近意思来判断答案为bullying。不过好在霸凌在中文中也属于比较常见的词汇,根据读音理解答案意思不是很困难。

第32题答案:superiority

对应原文:But often it’s caused by someone who feels the need to show their superiority over someone else

答案解析:同样没有明显的定位词,只能根据show和prove的同义替换来确定答案为supriority。不过该单词在录音中读的很重,只要会拼写,还是不太容易错过的。

第33题答案:personality

对应原文:In some cases one person simply dislikes the other, on the basis that the personality of one is in some way incompatible with that of the other person

答案解析:听到In some cases这一承上启下的连接词,意识到录音来到第33题,空前词differences in在原文中并没有很明显的同义替换,不过我们仍然可以根据词性以及重读,锁定personality。

第34题答案:structural

对应原文:Some conflicts arise when people are more interested in promoting themselves and their team than in the company as a whole. These conflicts are calledstructural’

答案解析:这道题有个小技巧。在雅思听力中,当空上要填某一具体名称,类型或者前后有引号的时候,答案前通常都会有called作为提示,大家可以注意一下。

第35题答案:absence

对应原文:Conflict obviously affects the individuals concerned – the situation is likely to be very stressful for victims, resulting in their absence from work, possibly for months.

答案解析:根据stress与stressful的同义替换定位到这句话,空前词cause与resulting in对应,由此确定答案为absence。

第36题答案:confidence

对应原文:CEOs – has uncovered some of the reasons why they may treat colleagues badly. Many CEOs combine two opposing characteristics: confidence

答案解析:听到CEOs意识到答案即将到来,空前词both与combine two… 对应,由此确定答案为confidence。

第37题答案:visions

对应原文:And it’s particularly difficult to tackle the situation where colleagues, managers and board members are all trying to achieve their own visions

答案解析:这道题没有明显的定位词,空前词different在原文中也没有很明显的对应。基础好的同学可以根据句义锁定visions。而基础不太好的同学,则可以根据词性和重读进行筛选。

第38题答案:democratic

对应原文:Interestingly, though, a company with a more democratic business model, can suffer more, when uncertainty about who to report to leads to conflicting demands.

答案解析:听到小标题之后,还有一两句话才到答案对应的内容。不过空前词more并没有任何改变,可以很轻易锁定democratic为正确答案。剩下的问题就主要是拼写了。

答案解析:根据manager与bosses的对应定位到这句话,空前词gain与earn同义替换,根据修饰关系确定答案为respect。

第40题答案:mediator

对应原文:However, if one of the parties in a conflict sees human resources as simply a mouthpiece for the chief executive, then an external mediator might be able to help

答案解析:根据outside与external的同义替换定位到这句话,通过词性与重读筛选出human resources, moutpiece, chief executive, 以及mediator。前三者填上去语义都不合适(chief executive还是这一小段的主题词),通过排除法确定答案为mediator。
