雅思口语Part2话题卡：Describe the home of someone you know well and that you often visit
Describe the home of someone you know well and that you often visit
You should say
Whose home it is
How often you go there
What it is like
And explain how you feel about the home
The home I am going to tell you about is my classmate’s. To be more specific, it is not the place where he lives with his parents, but a flat he rents as a temporary home when he is studying at the university. It is located right next to our campus. With 10 minutes’ walk, he can reach the teaching building. It is equipped with a 24-hour power supply, hot water, and internet access, which is much more convenient and comfortable than the dormitory.
It is a one-bedroom apartment, with a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, and a bathroom, not very spacious but quite enough for one or two individuals to live in. Since he is only planning to live there for two years, he does not change its original decoration. The owner seems to be a minimalist. Everything is in white and grey, and there is no ornament like paintings or pictures on the wall.
I go there almost every Friday evening to have some entertainment. Sometimes, we would order food deliveries, enjoy some beers, and talk about what happened last week. Sometimes, we would watch a film on his laptop. This article is from laokaoya website. But in most cases, I would bring my computer and play online games with him.
Although we had a lot of fun in his home, I do not want to live there at all. It is too high. The flat is on the 32nd floor. I can literally feel the swing of the building when there is a gust, which is really scary. Apart from this, I just cannot help wondering how exhausting it will be if there is a blackout or the elevator breaks down.
