Did you enjoy traveling by car when you were a kid? 你小的时候喜欢坐汽车旅行吗？

Yes, I did. When I was a kid, road trips weren’t very common in my family because owning a car was still quite expensive at the time. So whenever my parents or relatives took me somewhere by car, I was always really excited. I especially liked how comfortable it was compared with traveling by bus or train.

是的，我喜欢。小时候，我们家并不经常开车旅行，因为那个时候拥有一辆汽车还是比较贵的。所以，每当父母或者亲戚开车带我出去的时候，我都会特别兴奋。相比于乘坐公交车或者火车，我尤其喜欢坐汽车时那种更加舒适的感觉。

What types of cars do you like? 你喜欢什么类型的汽车？

I probably like sedans the most because they’re practical for everyday use. They’re comfortable enough for long journeys but still relatively compact, so they’re usually easy to drive and park in the city. This article is from Laokaoya website. I don’t really need a huge car, so a regular sedan would be more than enough for me.

我可能最喜欢轿车，因为它们非常适合日常使用。开长途的时候足够舒适，同时车身又相对比较紧凑，所以通常在城市里驾驶和停车都比较方便。我其实并不需要一辆特别大的车，因此普通的轿车对我来说就完全够用了。

Do you prefer to be a driver or a passenger? 你倾向于当司机还是乘客？

I’d rather be the driver. One of the main reasons is that I tend to get carsick when I’m a passenger, especially if I’m sitting in the back seat. When I’m driving, I have more control over the speed and I can slow down when the road gets bumpy, so I usually feel much more comfortable.

我更愿意当司机。一个主要原因是，当乘客的时候我比较容易晕车，尤其是坐在后排时。自己开车的时候，我可以更好地控制车速，遇到颠簸的路面也可以主动减速，所以通常会感觉舒服很多。

What do you usually do when there is a traffic jam? 出现交通堵塞的情况时你通常会怎么做？

If I’m with someone else, I’ll usually just chat with them to pass the time. If I’m driving alone, I’ll probably put on some music or listen to the radio. There’s obviously not much I can do about the traffic, so I just try to relax and wait for it to start moving again.

如果车上还有其他人，我通常会和他们聊聊天来打发时间。如果是自己一个人开车，我可能会放点音乐或者听听广播。毕竟堵车的时候我也做不了什么，所以一般就是尽量放松，等车流重新动起来。
