Do you want to be a teacher in the future? 你未来想要当老师吗？

Probably not. I think teaching requires a lot of patience because you sometimes have to explain the same thing several times before everyone understands it. I’m not a particularly patient person, so I’m not sure I’d be very good at that. I’d probably prefer a job that suits my personality better.

可能不会。我觉得当老师需要很有耐心，因为有时候同一个知识点需要解释好几遍，才能确保大家都理解。我并不是一个特别有耐心的人，所以不确定自己是否能做好这件事。我可能还是会选择一个更适合自己性格的工作。

Do you remember one of your teachers? 你还记得任何一个自己的老师吗？

Yes. I still remember my high school geography teacher really well. He hardly ever brought a textbook to class, but somehow he could remember exactly which page a particular topic was on. To be honest, I don’t remember them very clearly because primary school was such a long time ago. What I do remember is that most of my teachers were women, and they were generally quite patient with us. We could be pretty noisy and difficult to control at that age, so looking back, I think they handled us really well.

Yes, my middle school physics teacher was probably my favorite. He was really good at connecting what we learned in textbooks with things we saw in everyday life. That made some of the more difficult ideas much easier to understand, and it also made physics a lot more interesting to me.
