What do you know about paintings?
关于绘画你知道什么？
I know there are various kinds of paintings, such as oil, watercolor, pencil, and Chinese style. All of them are beautiful and can be used to record an event, depict a scenery, or express a specific mood.
我知道有多种多样的绘画，例如油画、水彩、铅笔以及国画。它们都很漂亮，并且可以用来记录事件，描绘风景，或者表达特定的情绪。
Have you learned drawing or painting?
你曾经学过画画吗？
Yes, I have. I used to learn Chinese painting when I was in the primary school. But I soon stopped learning, because I found I did not have the talent and it took up most of my spare time.
是的，我在小学的时候学过国画。但我很快就不学了，因为我发现自己没有天赋，而且它也占用了我大部分的业余时间。
Is it important to hang pictures at home?
在家里挂图片重要吗？
I believe it depends on the preference of the family. Pictures are surely a good way to decorate home. But there are also people who prefer other means of decoration. For them, I think hanging pictures is not important at all.
我觉得这取决于家庭的偏好。图片当然适中很好的装饰方式。但也有人喜欢其他方式的装饰。对于他们而言，我觉得挂图片一点都不重要。
What kind of paintings do you like?
你喜欢那种类型的绘画？
I like Chinese paintings. They put more emphasis on the spirit of the subjects and ignore their authentic shapes to some extent. This is probably because of the culture I have grown up in and the education I have received.
我喜欢国画。他们更重视对象的精神，并且在某种程度上忽视它们真正的形状。这或许是因为我成长的文化和接受的教育。
If someone wants to draw a picture of you, will you agree?
如果某人想要画一张你的画，你会同意吗？
Yes, sure. Why won’t I.But I do have a condition that the picture of me has to be handsome and I can get a copy of it.
