Do you keep plants at home?
你在家里养植物吗？
I used to keep a few plants at home, but it turns out I’m terrible at taking care of them. Almost every plant I brought home withered away in less than two months, so I eventually gave up.
我曾经养过。但貌似我不是很擅长它。因为几乎所有我养过的植物都在两个月之内死了。所以现在我已经放弃了。
What plant did you grow when you were young?

Well, back in primary school, I once grew some garlic in a flowerpot. It was actually part of a science assignment from my teacher, and I even kept a diary to record how it sprouted and grew day by day.
小学的时候，我确实种过大蒜。这是一项老师布置的作业。并且我还为它的生长过程写了详细的日记。
Do you know anything about growing a plant?

Not really, to be honest. Otherwise, the plants under my care wouldn’t have died so quickly. But, this article is from laokaoya website, I do know that they need enough sunlight, water, and some nutrient-rich soil to grow well.
不是特别多，否则的话，我买的植物也不会死了。但是我确实知道一个植物需要阳光，水和肥沃的土壤才能茂盛的生长。
Do Chinese people send plants as gifts?
中国人送植物作为礼物吗？
Well, Chinese people often give flowers on special occasions, but it’s quite uncommon for them to send potted plants as gifts. Most people prefer buying their own plants to decorate their homes, so I guess it’s not really part of our gift-giving tradition.
他们互相送花。但我很少看到他们送其他的植物。通常来说，人们都是自己买植物来装饰自己的家。我认为他们可能没有相关的传统和文化。
