The natural place I’d like to talk about is the China National Flower Garden in Luoyang, my hometown. It’s a huge park that’s best known for its peonies, which the city itself is famous for. I’ve known about the place for as long as I can remember because it’s one of the best-known attractions in Luoyang, and my family used to take me there when I was younger.

我想说的自然之地是位于我家乡洛阳的中国国花园。它是一座面积很大的公园，最出名的就是牡丹，而洛阳本身也以牡丹闻名。我从记事起就知道这个地方，因为它一直都是洛阳比较知名的景点之一，而且小时候家里人也经常带我去那里。

What I like about the park is that it has a completely different atmosphere from the busy streets outside. Once you get inside, you’re surrounded by trees, bushes, flowers and large stretches of green space, with paths winding their way through the park. This article is from Laokaoya website. I sometimes go jogging there, and I find it much more enjoyable than running alongside busy roads because I can breathe some fresh air, take in the scenery and temporarily get away from the noise of the city.

我很喜欢这座公园的一点是，它和外面繁忙的城市街道有着完全不同的氛围。一走进去，周围就是树木、灌木、鲜花以及大片的绿色空间，还有一条条小路蜿蜒穿过整个公园。我有时候会去那里跑步。跟沿着车来车往的道路跑步相比，我觉得在公园里跑要舒服得多，因为我可以呼吸新鲜空气、欣赏周围的风景，并且暂时远离城市里的喧嚣。

The park really comes alive in spring, especially around April, when the peonies burst into bloom. There are an incredible number of them in all sorts of varieties and colors. Of course, you see plenty of red, pink and white ones, but there are also some much more unusual shades, including purple, green and extremely dark varieties that look almost black. When they’re all in full bloom, large parts of the park turn into a sea of flowers, and the whole place becomes a riot of color.

到了春天，尤其是四月份左右，这座公园就会真正热闹起来，因为那时候牡丹开始大面积盛开。公园里种植了数量惊人的牡丹，而且品种和颜色都非常丰富。当然，最常见的是红色、粉色和白色，但也能看到一些更加少见的颜色，比如紫色、绿色，以及颜色深到看起来几乎像黑色的品种。当这些牡丹全部进入盛花期的时候，公园里很大一片区域都会变成花海，到处都是绚丽的色彩。

Unsurprisingly, that time of year draws huge crowds. People stroll along the paths, take photos with their friends and families, sit under the trees, or simply slow down and enjoy the surroundings. It can get a little crowded during the peak flowering season, but I actually quite like the lively atmosphere. If I want some peace and quiet, I can always go there at a less busy time of year.

毫不意外，每年这个时候都会吸引大量游客。人们沿着小路散步，和朋友家人一起拍照，坐在树下休息，或者干脆放慢脚步欣赏周围的景色。牡丹盛开的高峰期确实会有一点拥挤，不过我其实挺喜欢这种热闹的氛围。如果我想要安静一些，也完全可以选择一年中游客没那么多的时候去。

The main reason I keep going back is that the park gives me a welcome escape from my daily routine. If I’ve spent the whole day studying or staring at a screen, going there for a walk or a run helps me clear my head and recharge my batteries. I also like the fact that the same place can feel completely different depending on the season. In spring, it’s bursting with color, while at quieter times of the year, it becomes somewhere I can simply slow down and enjoy being surrounded by nature. That’s what makes it such a special place for me.

我之所以愿意一次又一次去那里，最主要的原因是这座公园能够让我暂时从日常生活中抽离出来。如果我一整天都在学习或者盯着屏幕，那么去那里散散步或者跑跑步，就能够让我清醒一下头脑、恢复精力。我也很喜欢它在不同季节会呈现出完全不同的感觉。春天的时候，整个公园色彩绚烂，而在一年中比较安静的时候，它又会变成一个让我放慢节奏、单纯享受自然的地方。这也是它对我来说如此特别的原因。
